Sigourney
Comparison

Shopify now builds AI shopping channels into your store. Here's where Sigourney fits.

Shopify's Agentic Storefronts shares eligible products with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and Meta, on by default for eligible stores, and Shopify offers a free readiness scan. WooCommerce has its own agentic commerce program. If you're on Shopify and sell to the US, use those first. Sigourney works alongside them, and covers the stores and questions they don't.

Shopify Agentic Storefronts

What you get
Built into Shopify admin and on by default for eligible stores, with no separate app. Shares your products through Shopify Catalog; you pick channels under Sales channels > Agentic.
Where products can show up
ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot via Shopify Catalog, Meta, and Google AI Mode and Gemini via the Google & YouTube channel (still rolling out)
Limits
Shopify only. ChatGPT requires selling to US customers (the store itself can be elsewhere), Catalog-eligible products (Starter plan or higher) and completed store policies. In ChatGPT, shoppers check out on your store.

Shopify agentic readiness scan

What you get
Free check of a product page for the structured data AI agents read
Where products can show up
A check, not a channel
Limits
One page per scan. It lists the gaps; you fix them yourself.

WooCommerce (native)

What you get
Product structured data on product pages, plus an official MCP integration that lets AI assistants read products and orders (WooCommerce 10.9+)
Where products can show up
Assistants that crawl your site or connect over MCP. Stripe ACP and Google UCP support are listed as coming soon.
Limits
Results depend on your theme, plugins and hosting

Where products can show up
Pages are open to the search crawlers of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google and Bing (Copilot). Each assistant decides what it shows.
Limits
Shopify and WooCommerce, wherever you sell. Up to 500 products per store during the beta. Fixes are made in your store admin.
AI-traffic reporting
AI crawler reads and visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude, by source, plus a weekly email. Visits, not purchases.

Where Sigourney adds to what you already have

WooCommerce stores. Shopify's channels don't reach you, and WooCommerce lists its ACP and UCP support as coming soon. Sigourney gives a WooCommerce catalog the same public pages, feed and readiness checks, from a read-only API key.

Stores that don't sell to the US. Shopify's ChatGPT channel requires selling to US customers. Sigourney's catalog pages are open to AI search crawlers wherever you sell.

Every product, not one page. The AI Readiness Score checks your whole catalog and tells you where in your store admin to fix each missing field. You can also hide individual products from your public catalog.

Seeing what AI actually does. Sigourney counts how often AI assistants read your products and how many shoppers they send, including from Claude and Perplexity, and emails you a weekly summary. You can also check and manage your store from Claude through our MCP connector.

What Sigourney doesn't do: it doesn't sell inside ChatGPT, run checkout or apply to merchant programs for you. Each assistant decides on its own what to recommend, and no tool can promise a placement.
