Everything you need to know about Sigourney.

Getting started

Sigourney makes your WooCommerce or Shopify catalog readable by AI assistants. Connect your store, and we handle the rest — generating Schema.org JSON-LD that AI systems can understand.

Connect a Shopify store

Takes about a minute. You need to be the store owner or a staff member allowed to install apps.

1Install Sigourney from the Shopify App Store (the dashboard's Connect store → Shopify button opens the same page).
2Approve the access request on Shopify. You’ll be sent to Sigourney: sign in or create an account.
3Your products import automatically and re-sync every night.

Connect a WooCommerce store

Takes about two minutes. No plugin to install and nothing added to your theme — Sigourney uses the WooCommerce REST API.

1In your WordPress admin, open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and click Add key.
2Give it a description (e.g. "Sigourney") and set Permissions to Read. Sigourney only reads your catalog — it never writes to your store.
3Copy the Consumer Key (ck_…) and Consumer Secret (cs_…). WooCommerce shows the secret only once.
4In Sigourney, open Stores → Connect store → WooCommerce, enter your site URL (e.g. https://mystore.com) and paste both keys.

After connecting

Your public AI-readable catalog goes live at sigourney-saas.com/s/your-store.
Every product gets Schema.org JSON-LD on its own public page.
Search engines that support IndexNow (such as Bing) are notified on each sync.
Your AI Readiness Score shows which product fields ChatGPT, Google Merchant Center and Shopify Catalog still need, and where in your store admin to fix them.
Visits and click-throughs from AI assistants appear on your dashboard.

Use Sigourney from Claude

Sigourney works as a connector (MCP server) for Claude, so you can manage your stores by asking in plain words: "how is my store doing?", "which products are missing photos?", "hide this product". Changes stay in Sigourney's copy of your catalog; your store itself is never edited.

1In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
2Paste the connector URL https://sigourney-saas.com/api/mcp.
3Sign in to your Sigourney account and click Allow. You can disconnect any time in Claude's connector settings.

Frequently asked questions

How does Sigourney decide which products to index?

Sigourney publishes all active products in your connected store, up to 500 per store during the beta. If a store has more, the oldest products are published first. You can hide individual products from your public catalog through the Sigourney connector in Claude.

What happens to my data?

Your product data is stored securely in our database to power AI search indexing, with access isolated per account — only your store sees your data. We never sell or share your data with third parties. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Which AI assistants does Sigourney support?

Sigourney publishes your catalog as Schema.org JSON-LD on public pages that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot and Google Search crawlers are allowed to read, and checks every product against what ChatGPT, Google Merchant Center and Shopify Catalog require before they show it. Each assistant decides on its own whether and when to show your products — no tool can guarantee placement.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Sign up, connect your Shopify or WooCommerce store and publish your catalog. No card and no trial clock.

What if I have more stores or products?

Write to hello@sigourney-saas.com and we will raise the limits for larger catalogs during the beta.

What do I get each week?

A short email: how often AI search assistants read your products, how many shoppers they sent to your store, and the top fixes for your product data, with where to make each one.
